BBC NEWS | UK | Human species 'may split in two'

I had to not laugh when I read this:

"The descendants of the genetic upper class would be tall, slim, healthy, attractive, intelligent, and creative and a far cry from the 'underclass' humans who would have evolved into dim-witted, ugly, squat goblin-like creatures. "

Isn't this the premise to almost every high budget sci-fi flop?
Hey! Dim-witted, ugly, squat goblin-like creatures UNITE!

BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Media attacked for 'climate porn'

I like the term 'climate porn' - now, just for fun, take every instance of the word 'climate' and replace it with 'global terrorism'. Then see who says the arguements are still valid.

BBC NEWS | Health | 'Anti-obesity vaccine' developed

BBC NEWS | Health | 'Anti-obesity vaccine' developed

It's truely amazing that in a world that has so many people living in poverty and hunger, we need a vaccine for obesity. I guess we'll need one for 'rich white guilt' sooner or later, too.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Israel 'not ready for truce yet'

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Israel 'not ready for truce yet':

"Mr Peretz described the temporary cessation of air strikes on southern Lebanon, which Israel says is to allow an investigation into the incident and give civilians trapped in the region a chance to escape, as a 'humanitarian gesture'. "

The world is truly a nauseating place these days.

BBC NEWS | Business | Bush expletive recorded on CCTV

BBC NEWS Business Bush expletive recorded on CCTV

It shouldn't surprise anyone that a xian has a potty mouth (usually more so than most).
No one seems to talk about what was said -

"The irony is, what they really need to do is to get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit, and it's over . . ."

SO . . . what was the irony? What yould be over?
--------------
Nothing like dipping into someone's conversation. It's a bit like what Lewis Black said: 'If it wasn't for that horse, I wouldn't have had to spend that year in college'.

BBC NEWS | Programmes | Power of Nightmares re-awakened

I can't believe I missed this. If you have seen or heard 'The Power of Nightmares', then read Adam Curtis's responses to viewer questions. Very enlightening!

Two Parties, One Club

BBC NEWS Americas Republicans unveil lobbying curbs

No matter what Democrat sympathizers like Al Franken say, we most certainly live in a one party state masquerading as a two party state.

From the article -
Some Democrats are also said to be implicated in the case, which correspondents say is an unexploded bomb under both houses.

Nader may not be the most effective at being a politician, but that doesn't make him any less right.
---
Side note - Anyone who really wants to be president of the United States probably doesn't deserve the post - I have to include Nader in that camp.
